“I don’t find networking easy and consequently I had always shied away from any such event.
However, in 2008 I read an article in the Business Times and something about it caused me to pick up the telephone and talk to the owner and organizer of The Business Club Northants. I’m glad I did because there was no pressure just a light-hearted conversation and an invitation to “come and see for yourself.”
My wife, Christine, and I went for an exploratory visit and enjoyed a lively, funny and most enjoyable evening. As a result we joined there and then.

A short note to share my recent experience of The Business Club, this has never happened to me before! I set my banner up at one of the recent Northampton meetings and as I took my seat and was rummaging for my business cards, one of the guests approached me, slid one of his cards in front of me and said ‘We need you!’ I had been at the meeting for less than 4 minutes! That has never happened to me before, not once in all the countless networking meetings I have attended!
